Get Clear Skin In 10 Steps

Beautiful Skin in Ten Easy Steps

Let’s face it, at some point, you’ve probably wished for clearer, fresher, younger-looking skin, but maybe you didn’t believe you could really get clear skin.

Well, there’s good news, you really can get beautiful clear, and you can do it naturally, too! Your skin will appear fresher and more even-toned in as little as just a few weeks.

You’ll want to be consistent with the steps listed below. Here’s how:

1. Cleanse your skin AM & PM for Glowing Skin

Maintaining clean skin is your primary focus! Be sure to wash your face every morning and night using a gentle, natural cleanser.

Look for a  cleanser containing plant-derived ingredients with antibacterial properties such as tea tree essential oil, which has antibacterial properties and will help prevent to future breakouts, and keep your skin free of blemishes.

2. use a toner to soothe your skin

After cleansing your skin, gently pat dry and follow with an herbal toner spritzed over your face to soothe your skin and help close the pores now that they are clean and clear.

I like to use this toner to soothe my dry skin and alleviate redness around my cheeks and nose. Allow the toner to air dry on your face.

3. apply a moisturizer to keep skin hydrated

When the toner has dried, apply your choice of serum(s) and follow with a small amount of moisturizer to your face. I like to use a hyaluronic serum, like this one, underneath my moisturizer to keep my skin moisturized and hydrated throughout the day. It even helps to minimize my pores and plumps fine lines.

For your moisturizer, you’ll want to look for a moisturizer that contains antibacterial ingredients like tea tree oil and lavender essential oil. These ingredients are gentle but very effective at clearing the skin from blemishes and pimples.

Don’t forget to apply moisturizer to your chest and neck area as well.

4. get plenty of rest for youthful skin

There’s just simply no substitute for a good night’s rest to maintain clear skin.

You’ll want to aim for seven to eight hours of rest every night to keep your skin looking fresh and well-rested.

Chronic fatigue can lead to dark circles and even blemishes over time. As a result, these skin conditions can be hard to reverse once apparent.

So be sure to prioritize your beauty rest so you can wake up refreshed and glowing.

5. Eat a well-balanced diet for beautiful skin

A well-balanced, healthy diet is essential for clear, healthy skin. It’s recommended by medical experts to eat an adequate amount of fresh fruits and vegetables on a consistent basis.

Reduce your red meat intake to three or four times a week. Easily digestible foods will help your body keep your skin nourished and promote fresh, new cell growth.

And, don’t forget to drink lots and lots of water too!

6. Exfoliate for smooth, glowing skin

Exfoliate your face and body once or twice a week. Using a body brush or body scrub, start at your feet and work towards the heart. This helps eliminate toxins from the body.

You’ll want to use a gentle facial scrub on your face and neck that is specifically formulated for use on the face, because the skin on your face and neck is thinner than the rest of your body. As a result, your face and neck are more prone to damage.

7. Use face masks to address skin concerns

Did you know a simple DIY Aspirin face mask has fantastic results on people with enlarged pores, acne, and blemishes.

Grind about 15 aspirin tablets into a powder and add a teaspoon of water to create a paste. Apply to a cleansed face, and allow the mask to remain on for twenty minutes. Rinse your face with cool water and apply a moisturizer suitable to your skin type. It’s recommended to do this treatment weekly, after a face scrub, for a flawless complexion.

And, if you don’t feel like DIYing your skincare, try an activated charcoal face mask to detoxify your pores. I like to use this charcoal face mask. Activated charcoal behaves like a magnet by drawing dirt and grime from deep within your pores to reveal a brighter, healthier complexion.

Use an activated charcoal face mask once a week or every other week if you have sensitive or dry skin. Activated charcoal is a powerful ingredient, so it’s best not to overdo it.

8. steam facials to keep skin blemish free

Once a month, do a home steam facial treatment to thoroughly draw out impurities from deep within your pores.

Pour hot steamy water into a basin or bowl and add a few drops of therapeutic grade essential oils like tea tree or frankincense to the water. Place your face over the bowl with a towel covering and gently let the steam open and cleanse your pores; be careful not to let the steam burn your face.

You’ll want to continue this for five to ten minutes. To complete your steam facial, rinse your face with cool running water.

9. Get out into the fresh air and take a walk, swim in the sea, ride a bike, and have fun! Exercise will boost your immune system and get your blood circulating through your body. Your skin will literally glow with just twenty to thirty minutes of daily movement.

10. Take time out for Self-care. Studies have shown that taking personal time reduces stress and can even promote productivity in other tasks. You might be asking, what exactly is self-care, and how do you incorporate it into your life?

According to this article in Everyday Health, self-care includes everything connected to staying physically and mentally healthy — including hygiene, nutrition, and seeking medical care when needed. It’s all the steps individuals can take to manage stressors in their lives and take care of their own health and well-being.

So there you have it, with consistent skincare, a healthy diet, and some exercise, you can achieve and maintain beautiful skin.

I understand that some of the suggestions listed above may seem difficult to achieve. I would suggest trying to make one small change at a time. Something as small as drinking one more glass of water or going to bed twenty minutes earlier, or even taking a five-minute break during the day to meditate can be enough to see an improvement.
